Natasha's Bio. (Long)

Natasha Yim is the author of eleven picture books including Goldy Luck and the Three Pandas (Charlesbridge Publishing, 2014), a Junior Library Guild and Scholastic Book Club selection, and Luna's Yum Yum Dim Sum (Charlesbridge Publishing, 2020) part of Charlesbridge Publishing's Storytelling Math series. She has also written for Disney Press which released the picture book Mulan's Lunar New Year in 2018, and for Disney/Pixar with the release of Like Mother, Like Daughter based on the Pixar movie, "Turning Red” (Feb. 2022), and the Little Golden Book Lightyear, an adaptation of Disney/Pixar’s movie “Lightyear” (May, 2022). Two nonfiction picture books on the Lunar New Year was released by Jump! Publishing (Holiday History: Lunar New Year, August 2023), and Quarto Books (Holiday Around the World: Lunar New Year, November 2023). Natasha’s nonfiction articles have been published in the children’s magazines “Highlights for Children”, “Faces”, “Appleseeds”, and “Muse”. Her upcoming book, "Luna and the Case of the Missing Mooncakes", another Storytelling Math Book will be published by Charlesbridge Publishing in 2025, followed by "Luna Picks a Lucky Dumpling" in 2026. Natasha's first two board books for Charlesbridge Publishing's Chicken Soup for the Soul Babies series, will be released in 2025 & 2026 respectively. She is working on other picture book projects, as well as a historical fiction middle grade novel. She grew up in Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong, and many of her stories are inspired by her cultural upbringing.

Natasha grew up in Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong and loves to write about people and cultures from around the world.
